New to For Yarn's Sake

Ringing In the New Year !

Team Spirit, new skills for 2011, and a return to sock knitting - this edition of Knitters News is short and sweet. Here’s what’s happening at your favorite local yarn store, For Yarn’s Sake, as we prepare to ring in the New Year!

New to For Yarn's Sake

Go Ducks!

Go Ducks

Go Ducks yarn

With the holidays now behind us, its time to concentrate on the next BIG event – the University of Oregon Ducks winning the National Championship game, of course. And they can’t accomplish that without a showing of fan loyalty. So, with the big game just 2 weeks away, its time to get knitting (or crocheting)! Just in from local dyer Stitch Jones, we have a brand new batch of yellow and green Dye-Pot Worsted Go Ducks yarn – 218 yards of 100% superwash Merino wool. The perfect yarn for a scarf, hat, gloves or baby sweater. And if socks are your addiction, then we have the same great Go Ducks colorway in Titanium Sock – a 75% superwash Merino / 25% Nylon fingering weight yarn. Show your team spirit as Oregon takes its place in the history books.

And if you’re a Beaver, or a follower of an ‘other-than-U of O’ team who just can’t bring themselves to wear green and yellow, even for a day, we have the same great yarns in Beavers, Blazers, and Mariners (Seahwawks) colors.

The Shetland Trader, Book OneREMINDER: Store Hours for the Holidays

Santa’s sleigh is once again parked safely in the North Pole garage, so For Yarn’s Sake’s hours are back to normal. We’ll be closed on January 1st and 2nd. And so that we can catch our breath after the Christmas Frenzy, there’ll not be Sock Hour or Knit Chat this Tuesday and Thursday – join us again after we ring in the New Year.

For Yarn's Sake In Stitches blogIn Stitches – Blogging For Yarn’s Sake Style. Back on track!
