Shepherd Worsted. Love Lorna's Laces? We do. And now we have their scrumptious yarn in Shepherd Worsted - 225 yards of squishy soft superwash merino wool. And the colors are spectatular (and fun), in both eye-popping solids and quirky, beautiful multis. Like "Zombie BBQ" - a contradiction of soft greens, tans, creams and charcoal, with a pop of intense flame red (hence, the BBQ). Or my all-time favorite, "Child's Play" - a playful blend of wonderful and vivid colors you'll remember from your childhood. Perfect for a baby's first blanket or sweater. Come run your fingers through this oh-so-soft new For Yarn's Sake addition

Splash

Summer has arrived! A splash of razzle-dazzle color is just what's needed to put Oregon's gloomy 2010 spring behind us once and for all. "Splash" by Wendy Bernard is the perfect knit to punch up your summer. This toney vest is knit from the top down in one piece, and works up in any of our numerous worsted weight beauties. Like the new Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted - be the hit of the party in your Zombie BBQ vest. Add a striking button or pin from Lantern Moon to jazz it up. The options are endless !!!

32" long or longer circular needle size US 7 (4.5mm)
Double-pointed needles size US 7 (4.5mm) (optional)

Gauge:

"When Leah talks, I'm blown away by her depth of knowledge and creativity."
"What fun!"

These are some of the comments made by participants from our March "Anatomy of a Stitch" class. Don't miss out on this unique and uber-valuable 2-hour session. Learn the characteristics of a stitch - why knitting curls the way it does, why it needs to be blocked, which increase and decrease stitch to use in different situations, how to intentionally twist stitches, various cast-ons and bind-offs and when to use them, and how different fibers react to different approaches. Leah takes you through all these amazing yet essential details of the art of knitting. This Thursday, July 1st from 5 to 7pm.

Our Classes page has plenty of information on upcoming classes including
