The Garden Path Scarf is one of Owner Anne’s early creations, inspired by her love of cables and favorite Fleece Artist yarn – Blue Face Aran. An intricate cable winds and turns its way down the center of a seed stitch back-drop. And the 100% Blue Face Leicester wool, hand-dyed in glorious colors from Nova Scotia based Fleece Artist Yarns, has the perfect amount of give to make cable knitting a true joy.

Not just for beautiful reversible color-work projects, double knitting skills will let you knit sweater sleeves that match exactly every time, and, gasp, even knit one sock inside another sock! Students can pick one of several patterns. Students must know how to cast-on, knit, purl, and slip a stitch.

This 4-part class will teach you more than you ever thought there was to learn about knitting a sweater. Starting with a tutorial on fiber knowledge, you’ll move through measuring and math, construction, styles, pattern alteration, and finishing. Weekly homework assignments will help you move successfully toward the finish line. Students must know how to cast on, knit, and purl.

Looks like a flying saucer. What could it mean? Knitters have a language known only unto them. Join the inner circle and learn to decipher the valuable information on yarn labels, and knitting patterns and charts! Anne will help you understand how to understand and follow a basic pattern, and tricks to working from those ever so intimidating charts. And of utmost importance, she'll show you how to read the yarn label so that after your efforts, it won't 'come apart in the wash.'

So that we can enjoy the game (as well as the latest and greatest in TV advertising), For Yarn's Sake will have special hours on Sunday, February 6th.
