Jump on the pooling band wagon with us! ‘Assigned Pooling’ is the hot new knitting technique, judging by the recent and prolific influx of new yarns on the market specifically dyed to pool. Learn how to make these gorgeous yarns work for you. We’ll start a project that will please both hat and cowl lovers. The stockinette stitch body is a perfect canvas for playing with assigned pooling. Worsted weight yarn knits up quickly for a fun introduction to this technique. Choose a yarn that is meant to pool; you’ll want 6 to 8 inch (15-20 cm) runs of your pooling color.
Prerequisite Skills. Knit/purl, cast on/bind off, working in the round.
Homework. None!
Supplies you’ll need. One skein worsted weight yarn, dyed for assigned pooling. We recommend Dream In Color's Classy Cashmere, available for purchase HERE. 16 or 20” US 6/4 mm circular needle, or size to get a fabric you like. One stitch marker to note beginning of round.
$40, plus supplies. Fee includes pattern.
Once registered, you'll receive an email with a class handout, pattern and Zoom information.
