Deja vu! Wasn't it just yesterday that I chronicled Clue 1 of Romi's mystery KAL? Well, here I go again. Joji Locatelli's Mystery Wrap started last Friday. Five clues over the next five weeks. Yards and yards and yards of fingering weight yarn. And its starting out to be as tantalizing a knit as Romi's phenomenal forays.
Joji described this mystery as a long rectangular wrap. So imagine my surprise when I dove into Clue 1 only to find a garter tab cast on. Oh wait . . . two garter tab cast ons. Joji has us doing Clue 1 twice! Where is this going? I do love a good mystery. Thank you Joji!
I can report that I'm on track to finish Clue 1 ahead of schedule. Just like with the Romi shawl - the bar's been set. I have the 1st triangle done, and a mere 14 rows left on the second. And whoa is me - my ends are woven in. A pat on the back for me. and my favorite yarn again, Tosh Dandelion. Farmhouse White, Spicewood, Yoko, Blood Runs Cold and Pecan Hull. I won't spoil this adventure with a full on picture, but here's a snap shot of how my colors are coming together.
Given this knitting adventure culminates in the use of nearly 1750 yards of gorgeous, colorful yarn, my posts in the coming weeks will be short. Need the precious time to knit, and knit, and knit, and . . . Love a good mystery!!!
