Learn the technique of double knitting in a totally new and unique way, as you create a pair of toasty hand mitts. Worked in the round on double point needles, these mitts start at your fingers and work towards the wrist. We will make ‘mini’ fingers and add color or texture to the mitts while knitting them ‘wrong side out’ (if you want to). Super fun and easy to make without worrying about using 4 dpns or a very small circular needle. Come prepared to have fun while you learn a new way of knitting in the round. Not for beginning knitters. Supplies you’ll need: Aran or worsted weight yarn in a smooth, light color (the better to see the techniques) and double point needles in a size 4 or 5 (US). Also bring 2 smaller dpns for trying on the mitts as you work them. Small amounts of contrast colors for color pattern if desired. Pattern provided. This is a 2-part class.
