October HerStory celebrates yet another amazing female S.T.E.M. trailblazer - Wangari Maathai, who spent her life advocating for democracy, environmentalism, and gender equity. An activist and founder of the Green Belt Movement, Wangari is the ideal choice to honor as the colorful fall changes remind us to revere nature.
Knitted Wit’s HerStory Sock Club was born out of a desire to learn more about women who’ve made a difference, the unsung female heroines. For 2018, HerStory goes international with a specific focus on women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math). It’s a mighty list, and we can’t wait to tell their story in color!
