Gauge: what is it, how to get it, what affects it? In this class we’ll look at how to make a proper swatch and make changes to that swatch to make any yarn work. We’ll talk about when gauge is important, when it isn’t and how the type of yarns affect the gauge to make sure you get the
garment you want.
Supplies you’ll need – US 7 (4.5mm), US 8 (5mm), & US 9 (5.5mm) knitting needles, 50 gram ball of worsted weight yarn in a light color, calculator, tape measure, note taking supplies.
Note – there is a swatching assignment to be completed before class; contact us for specifics.
