Learn all the skills necessary to knit your very first sweater - the Autumn League Pullover.  This top-down raglan sweater by Alexandra Tavel is a great “first sweater” pattern.  In this 3-hour class, as you knit a tiny sample sweater, you’ll learn how to choose the right yarn for your sweater and how to calculate how much you’ll need, the long tail cast-on, increases and decreases, casting on extra stitches for shaping, and how to pick up stitches for a collar.  While focusing on the Autumn League Pullover pattern, your new skills will help you knit a plethora of different raglan sweaters.

Prerequisite skills - Cast on, bind off, knit and purl.

Supplies you’ll needAutumn League Pullover pattern (available on Ravelry for purchase, or free on Alexandra’s blog at - pattern will be used to take notes, so get your copy in advance of class), 145 yards / 100 grams Bulky yarn (we recommend Berroco Ultra Wool Chunky), US 10 40” circular needle, 9 stitch markers (one will be marking the beginning of each round, so make sure you can tell it apart from the other 8), scissors, crochet hook, yarn / tapestry needle.
