Socks from the Cuff Down
Saturdays October 7 & 21
1-3pm
Anne Lindquist
Say “NO” to store bought socks! Socks are an easy, portable, and fun to knit project. With so many colorful fingering weight yarns on the market, even a simple sock design can be wildly entertaining to make. In this two-class series, knitters will learn how to make cuff down socks using the magic loop method, the why's, what's and how's of the "need-not-be-intimidating" heel flap and gusset, and final finishing techniques. Students should know how to cast on, knit, and purl.
Supplies you’ll need. 100 grams light colored plied fingering weight yarn, US 1 (2.25-2.5mm) 40” circular needle. Vanilla Cuff Down Sock pattern will be provided in the first class, and is included in your class fee.
This is a 2-part in-person class, held at For Yarn’s Sake. $75, plus supplies.
