Brioche knitting is the current “it knit” and you can do it, too! Brioche knitting is easier in the round than flat, and even easier with two colors rather than one. You’ll learn the basic brioche rib, and then use it for the beginning of Michele’s Brioche Pastiche Hat. We’ll also learn how to fix common mistakes in brioche knitting.
Supplies you’ll need - Brioche Pastiche Hat pattern (included in the class fee), one light colored and one dark colored heavy worsted to Aran weight yarn, 100 yards each, US 6 16” circular needle, one stitch marker for beginning of round.
Homework: With darker (background) color, loosely cast on 72 sts for small hat, or 78sts for large hat using long tail cast on. Join to work in the round, then K 1 round. Small hat is 18”, large hat is 19”. The large size fits a 23” head.
