Shelly Dinh

Master the art of Amigurumi - the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures. Once you've honed the crochet basics, your whimsical menagerie will know no bounds! In this 2-hour class, we’ll teach you magic ring, increases, decreases, and front post stitches, all to end up with an adorable “Itty Bitty Cosy Kitty!”

Prerequisite Skills. Students should know how to make a slip knot, and work a chain stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet, and double crochet.

Supplies you'll need. Itty Bitty Cosy Kitty pattern, available on Ravelry HERE; DK weight cotton yarn in 2 colors, less than 10 grams each; thin scraps of yarn or embroidery floss for eyes, nose, and any other desired embellishments; US D (3.25mm) crochet hook; sewing needle; locking stitch marker; safety eyes (optional). Stuffing will be provided.

This is an in-person class, held at For Yarn's Sake. $55, plus supplies.
